I heart Etsy

I love Etsy.  Have you been there?  You have to check it out.  It's sort of a huge online craft show.  I can get sucked in for hours.  What's cool is that everything is so unique and it's all made by people with ideas and crafty skills.  Not machines.  Not 3,000 at a time.  One at a time.  Lots of times, things are made by moms like us, who are just trying to get their creative on and make a few bucks doing it.  And most times if you have a special request, the seller is happy to accommodate you.

Tonight I ordered a bunch of hair clips for my daughter.  Now that she's two, she actually has enough hair to possibly, potentially, maybe handle some type of hair accessory.  But her hair is very smooth and fine.  So I know I need the kind of clips with non-slip grips.  Oh, and she's a little peanut, so she needs the clips to be little.  There are tons on Etsy, and there are such cute things.  Personally, I like the felt clips the best--but there are about a jillion of them so there's something for everyone.

Etsy is a great place for holiday shopping, too.  The stuff is unique, usually reasonably priced, and there's just some amazing craftsmanship going on.  Plus, when you shop at Etsy, you can feel good because you're supporting small businesses.  So everybody wins.  Check it out: www.etsy.com

Here's what I bought tonight.
From Emmi's Cottage (http://www.etsy.com/shop/emmiscottageetsy):

Cute, right?

She had a bunch of really adorable ribbon-type bows.  These were $3.00 for the set of three!

And from Sweet Bitty Bows (http://www.etsy.com/shop/SweetBittyBows) I bought a few:

Will let you know how it all turns out.  In the meantime, happy shopping!

I couldn't agree more! My sister introduced me to Etsy about 1.5 years ago, and we both buy items from there whenever we can. I'd highly recommend checking out their invitation section as well. I've had great luck with Totfulmemories - she was super helpful and flexible to make any changes. You get a great product and you feel good about it too. Perfect for the holiday's.
